01

What if I do not feel saved?

Short answer

A lack of settled feeling is a real burden, but feelings are not the only evidence a Christian has to consider. This question points readers back to Christ, Scripture in context, and an honest conversation rather than to a demand for stronger feelings.

Read the fuller explanation

Doubt and feelings are not a reason to tell someone that they have failed at faith. Feelings can be affected by fear, exhaustion, memory, or circumstances. They deserve care, but they are not a stable measuring device for God's promise. Deep Grace will explore this further in its assurance teaching; this shorter answer is intentionally connected to a longer path rather than treated as the last word.
